MURRIETA: Felon who stole truck to transport drugs sentenced

MURRIETA - An ex-con who stole a pickup truck to transport marijuana and methamphetamine that he was selling in Murrieta was sentenced Thursday, Dec. 7, to five years of mandatory supervision.

Jamey Lee Johnson, 42, of Anaheim pleaded guilty in June to auto theft and transportation of drugs for sale. In exchange for his admissions, the Riverside County District Attorney's Office dropped charges of possession of drugs for sale and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Superior Court Judge Mark Mandio certified the terms of the plea agreement and imposed the sentence stipulated by the prosecuti...
