UPDATE: Evacuation orders lifted in 300-acre Liberty fire, 7 structures burned

UPDATE: Friday, Dec. 8, 1 p.m.

All evacuation orders for people in the vicinity of the 300-acre Liberty fire have been lifted, according to a noon update from Murrieta Fire & Rescue.

Murrieta Mesa High School, which had been operating as a care center for people who were affected by the fire, will be closing at 2 p.m., according to fire officials.

The 300-acre fire remains at 60 percent containment.

The fire was reported about 1:14 p.m. Thursday amid heavy Santa Ana winds and quickly swelled to its 300 acre size.

As of Friday, Murrieta fire officials said it had destroyed one structure...
