A fire erupted today outside a Menifee home, damaging the exterior of the residence before crews got it under control.

The non-injury blaze was reported about 12:30 p.m. in the 28000 block of Orangegrove Avenue, near Palm Villa Drive, fronting the Menifee Lakes Country Club golf course, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

About 20 personnel sent to the location encountered flames crawling up an exterior wall of the single-story residence. The blaze spread to the roof and caused minor damage to the attic before firefighters contained it a little over an hour later.

No one was displaced.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
