The Riverside County Sheriff's Department conducted the checkpoint between 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 22 and 3 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 23 at Washington Street and Fred Waring Drive.

Of the 1,237 drivers who passed through the checkpoint, two people were arrested for drunk driving and 12 people were either cited or arrested for driving unlicensed or with a suspended license, said Sergeant Jorge Ramirez.
