Zachary Dedmon, 23, and Joshua Bolton, 28, were arrested as suspects in an incident where a fence was tagged in Murrieta.

Murrieta police officers arrested two men who they believe were tagging a neighborhood fence with spray paint late Tuesday, Jan. 9, officials say.

Zachary Andrew Dedmon, 23, of Wildomar and Joshua Todd Bolton, 28, of Lake Elsinore were arrested on suspicion of vandalism and conspiracy.

Both were booked at the Cois M. Byrd Detention Center in French Valley and released on citations, online jail records show.

Police say they got a call about 11:22 p.m. Tuesday about a person spray painting a fence in the area of Agean Court and Cadenza Drive.

Officers arrived and stopped a vehicle that matched the description of the vehicle the tagger left in, according to a Murrieta police news release.

They talked to Dedmon and Bolton during the stop and saw spray paint cans in plain view.

The paint in the spray cans matched what was on the fence, according to the release. Both men were then taken into custody.
