Medical offices evacuated after occupants suffer unknown illness

The Riverside County Fire Department's Hazmat team was called to an incident today at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Wildomar.

A medical office building in Wildomar today was evacuated and six people inside the facility received emergency treatment after the central air-conditioning system failed.

Riverside County Fire Department crews were called to the Kaiser Permanente Medical Office Complex at 36450 Inland Valley Drive about 10:30 a.m. to determine whether the A/C breakdown was a health hazard, an agency spokeswoman said.

A hazardous materials team went to the location after a person fell ill, and a battalion chief ordered the entire building evacuated when two other people complained of sickness.
