2 struck, killed while trying to push disabled car on 215 Freeway in Perris

Two people were killed while trying to push a disabled car away from lanes of the 215 Freeway on the Perris-Menifee border on Monday, Jan. 15, California Highway Patrol officials said.

Fernando Vasquez, 24, and Giselle Vasquez, 19, were both pronounced dead at the scene of the incident, the southbound 215 south of Ethanac Road shortly before 7:30 p.m., according to a Riverside County Coroner news release.
