A 22-year-old man suspected of pimping at least one woman and two 15-year-old girls in Hemet was in custody today.

The arrest of Marvonte Dolberry came after a sheriff's sergeant discovered two of his victims, a 15-year-old runaway and an 18-year-old woman, engaged in a sexual act with a man in a parked vehicle near the intersection of Gilmore Street and Acacia Avenue around 4:45 p.m. Thursday, said sheriff's Sgt. John Sawyer.

The driver of the vehicle, identified as 30-year-old Luis Chavez Avila of San Jacinto, was arrested and released with his signed promise to appear for charges of loitering for prostitution, Sawyer said.

Authorities tracked Dolberry down to a nearby motel in the 800 block of West Florida Avenue, where he was found with an additional 15-year-old female victim.

Dolberry was arrested and booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning on suspicion of human trafficking, human trafficking of a minor, pimping, pandering, oral copulation with a minor and unlawful sexual intercourse, Sawyer said. Dolberry's bail was set at $85,000, according to Sawyer.

The two juvenile victims were taken into protective custody and ultimately released to their parents, Sawyer said.
