CANYON LAKE (CNS) - A Canyon Lake man was in custody today after authorities found an illegal marijuana grow operation at his residence.

The Riverside County Sheriff's Department served a search warrant around 2:30 p.m. Friday at the home of 30-year-old Anthony Zeidlik in the 29600 block of Bonanza Place, said sheriff's Lt. Paul Bennett.

Authorities discovered 82 mature marijuana plants, 53 pounds of processed marijuana for sales, along with equipment for a butane honey oil lab and 7 ounces of honey oil cannabis, Bennett said.

There also was evidence that the occupants were stealing electricity to operate the illegal marijuana grow, according to Bennett. An estimate of about $60,000 theft of utilities occurred over a few months, he said.

Zeidlik was arrested as a result of the search warrant and investigation.

Zeidlik admitted to investigators that he grew the marijuana for the purpose of sales for his mobile dispensary, but he denied operating an extraction lab at the house, according to Bennett, who said all the necessary components and equipment were located on site for a lab.

Zeidlik was booked on suspicion of operating the lab, cultivation, sales of marijuana and theft of utilities, Bennett said.

Zeidlik is being held at the Southwest Detention Center on $60,000 bail and is due in court at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Murrieta Southwest Justice Center, according to online inmate records.
