HS Boys’ Basketball: Four games to go, Rams and Golden Bears top the SWL standings

Playoff basketball is right around the corner and as the action heats up, most of the eyes in the valley are on the all-out fight for the No. 1 spot in the Southwestern league. Going into last week’s matchup Temecula Valley (16-7, 5-1) got the best of the red-hot Murrieta Mesa Rams (19-6, 5-1) in what was an exhilarating game for fans, as the Golden Bears held on for a 76-69 victory.

The win for Temecula Valley was key in what could be a thrilling final game of the season against each other next week, since the win moved the Golden Bears into a tie for first place with Murrieta Mesa.
