Murrieta Mesa Spirit Squad sets sights on USA Nevada Open

It’s been a unique year for Southern Section offices of the California Interscholastic Federation, especially when it comes to the addition of its newly classified competitive programs, which include Competitive Cheer.

“The CIF was very excited to add competitive cheer to our sports offerings this year,” stated Roger Blake, Executive Director of the CIF. “We look forward to seeing the competitions and working with the California Department of Education to further develop policy and standards allowing the student-athletes involved in competitive cheer to enjoy greater opportunities...
