Supervisors approve Sun City library improvement plan

The Riverside County Board of Supervisors approved a plan to improve the county’s Sun City library branch.

The board of supervisors voted 5-0, March 21, to approve the improvement project in principle, to approve a $650,000 budget for the project, to authorize the county’s Purchasing Department to execute consultant services agreements for up to $100,000 and to find the improvement project categorically exempt from California Environmental Quality Act review.

The Sun City library branch is located in the 26900 block of Cherry Hills Boulevard. It averages 17,500 patron visits each month...
