Second victim of Sage shooting in critical condition, sheriff's officials say

A man who was found dead on a property in the unincorporated community of Sage was shot to death, authorities said today.

Authorities also disclosed that a second man was wounded in the shooting, which was reported at 12:49 p.m. Monday in the 39000 block of San Ignacio Road, near Sage Road, roughly 10 miles east of Temecula, according to

the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

The surviving victim was taken to a hospital, where he is in critical condition, said Sgt. Wallace Clear.

There was no suspect information available.

Though many details about the shooting have not been released, various news reports show a white SUV that has been punctured by bullets at the scene of the investigation.
