Snowbirds flock to special 'Ramona' performance

More than 300 snowbirds, along with their families and friends flocked to the Ramona Bowl Amphitheater in Hemet Saturday, March 17, for a special performance of "Ramona," the longest continuous running play in North America.

The event, which went off without a hitch, gave the Ramona players an opportunity to perform a full dress rehearsal in front of a live audience. While the snowbirds, or travelers who head south for the winter, get the chance to see the outdoor play before making their annual journey to their homes in the spring.
