Helpful Honda Guys help make San Jacinto dog adoptees happier

Esthela Alfaro of Hemet hugging her new adopted puppy receives a pet gift basket from a Helpful Honda Guys team member at the San Jacinto Department of Animal Services Shelter Saturday, March 24. The Helpful Honda Guys were there that day to help.

The Helpful Honda Guys in blue swooped into the San Jacinto campus of the Department of Animal Services Saturday, March 24, and helped find "furever" homes for 12 rescued dogs and provided others with food and treats.

The Helpful Honda Team, led by team leader Peter Tang, congratulated the new pet owners and presented them with new leashes, dog dishes and other goodies and a pet and master photo always to be remembered. Shelter shift supervisor Candy Weil and her volunteers made sure each new pet owner received a raised dog bed a protective head shield and dog coat.
