Riverside County ranks third-highest in population growth nationwide

RIVERSIDE - Riverside County ranked No. 3 in population growth among large counties nationwide, according to a U.S. Census Bureau report.

Figures showed that during the 12-month period ending July 1, 2017, the county’s population expanded by 36,744 people, a 1.5 percent increase compared to the estimated population size in June 2016.

The numeric growth was topped only by Maricopa County, Arizona, where the population swelled by 73,650 - the largest growth in the country - during the same period, and Clark County, Nevada, which expanded by 47,355, the second-largest growth in raw numbers...
