Riverside County sheriff's deputies found the body of a man in a creek bed in Old Town Temecula, but foul play was not suspected and the man's death was being investigated as accidental, officials said.

The man's body was found immersed in a watery portion of the Murrieta Creek in the 28000 block of Old Town Front Street shortly before 8 a.m. Monday, according to a Riverside County sheriff's news release.

Deputies were joined by a Sheriff's Dive Team and the Coroner's Bureau. The Dive Team helped the Coroner in removing the man from the water.

Sheriff's officials encouraged anyone with information regarding the incident to contact the Temecula Police Department at 951-696-3000.
