10-year-old raises funds for shelter pets with 'Kylie's K-9 Cookies'

Kylie Watson is a bright, friendly, outgoing and energetic 10-year-old girl who has chosen to help unwanted shelter pets in the community. She bakes doggie biscuits.

Kylie manages, bakes and markets homemade dog treats with her organization, Kylie's K-9 Cookies. Since its inception, her endeavor has raised money for a local pet rescue.

"I give $1 from the sale of each bag to Animal Friends of the Valleys," she said. "So far I have donated $172 and made blankets and toys to donate. I donate treats to AFV, too. I love baking the treats and meeting the happy dogs who I bake for."
