A 33-year-old probationer was arrested on suspicion of DUI Wednesday evening, April 18, after she and another driver crashed their vehicles head-on in Menifee, sheriff's officials said.

Amy Beth Pickle was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and booked into the Cois M. Byrd Detention Center. She was released Thursday morning.

According to sheriff's officials, Pickle was driving east on Scott Road near the Interstate 215 overpass when she allowed her vehicle to enter the westbound lane and strike another vehicle.

Both the other driver and Pickle were taken to the hospital for minor injuries. Pickle was booked into jail after receiving a medical clearance.

Authorities say Pickle was on probation for an earlier DUI conviction at the time of the crash.
