"Lip sync" is a phrase that conjures images of Jimmy Fallon and some random star singing, sometimes badly, on "The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon," the late night television program airing on NBC.

But fans of the popular skit are in luck when a group of reality television stars, along with local residents and their friends, take to the stage 6 p.m. Thursday, May 3, for the Reality Rally version of the fun and entertaining Celebrity versus Public Lip Sync Showdown.

Pechanga Resort and Casino will host the event, which pairs stars from the world of reality television against locals in a hilarious and entertaining competition. The Celebrity versus Public Lip Sync Showdown, part of the four-day Reality Rally fundraiser for Michelle's Place Breast Cancer Resource Center, will have a cash bar as well as food for purchase.

"Holding the event at Pechanga gives us a unique opportunity to all for those in attendance to take advantage of everything the night has to offer," event creator Gillian Larson said. "If you drink at the event and get a room, no designated driver is needed as you just go up to your beautiful new room at the end of the night. You can laugh, drink and then sleep!"

Room reservations can be made by visiting http://www.pechanga.com.

For those who choose not to stay at the resort and casino, Larson said to remember to have a designated driver to get home safely.

Reality stars from shows such as "Survivor," "Big Brother," "The Amazing Race," "Chopped," "Hell's Kitchen," "Naked & Afraid" and many more will be on hand for the event.

"Come on out and mingle with your favorite reality stars," Larson said. "There is no other opportunity like this. There are on other lip sync's here other than the ones in L.A. with Jimmy Fallon and Spike TV. This is the only crazy lip sync with celebrities in this area."

Larson said the competitors are gearing up for the competition in a big way.

"We have half celebrities half public again which is great," Larson said. "They get really excited about performing and everyone is getting their songs ready, their costumes ready and their moves ready. It is total fun. The performances are over the top and they are going to be again."

Tickets for the Celebrity versus Public Lip Sync Showdown are $15 at the door. For those who want to make a big impact, VIP tables are available for $300, which is used to provide grocery gift cards for families to help ease

the financial burden of treatment.

All proceeds from the show are donated to Michelle's Place, Larson said.

"The bottom line is when people attend, they are making a difference in the lives of people who have been affected by breast cancer," she said. "they can help make a difference by buying a ticket."
