Menifee City Council seeks November vote on adding a 5th District and appointing mayor

Menifee City Council is moving forward in placing two initiatives on the November ballot that would eliminate the current elected mayor at-large and four district government, in favor of a five-district council with unlimited terms and a council-appointed mayor.

It will be the fourth time since Menifee’s incorporation to a city in 2008 that the form of city government could be changed, fluctuating from four to five districts and an appointed or an elected mayor at large.
