Got medication languishing in the cabinet?

The Drug Enforcement Agency will be working with local law enforcement this weekend to collect unused prescription medications and prevent abuse.

Local law enforcement agencies are encouraging the public to get rid of their unused and expired prescription medications, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, April 28, during Prescription Drug Take Back Day.

The Murrieta Police Department building and sheriff's stations throughout southwest Riverside County will be among locations nationwide where people can bring their prescriptions anonymously, with no questions asked. The purpose of the event is to prevent drug misuse and abuse.
