A Coachella reveler who wound up in Temecula was arrested Thursday, April 26, after authorities allege he hit a parked pickup truck, fled the scene and was found huffing compressed air nearby.

Andrew Nicholas Garzon, of Corona, was arrested on suspicion of several drug-related counts and booked into the Cois M. Byrd Detention Center in French Valley with bail set at $30,000. He was released later that day, according to online jail records.

According to a post on the Temecula Police Department Facebook page, deputies responded to a hit-and-run in Temecula's Crown Hill neighborhood Thursday morning.

A resident there saw a silver car hit a parked pickup in the driveway of a home before fleeing the scene. Another resident noticed a suspicious, damaged car nearby and reported that too.

Deputies noticed similarities between the car involved in the hit-and-run and the suspicious looking vehicle the other resident reported.

As they walked up to the vehicle, authorities say they saw Garzon inside, huffing the compressed air.

Garzon was detained and deputies searched the inside of the car. They found a "significant" amount of cocaine and prescription pills without a prescription inside.

The car Garzon was driving was determined to be the same car involved in the hit-and-run.

The department ended their posting with a warning for other festival goers.

"Seeing as how the arrestee was still wearing his Coachella Music Festival wristband, we would like to remind festival goers who are planning on hanging out here in Temecula to not... um... do any of these things here."
