LAKE ELSINORE – Planning is underway for The Lamb’s Fellowship annual Car and Motorcycle Show coming 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, May 19, in Lake Elsinore at the church 21901 Railroad Canyon Road.

The fourth annual Lamb’s Fellowship Car Show raises money for children’s charities in Lake Elsinore and invites car clubs, motorcycle clubs and others for a day of fun and entertainment. The “British Invaders” band will put on a concert, noon to 2:30 p.m. The public is invited to come see the many tricked out cars and motorcycles and enjoy the festivities.

Paul Kakis, volunteer executive director of the event’s ministries, and Steve Peace, chairman of the Boomer’s Car Club, will join the event this year. Representing the city of Lake Elsinore will be Mayor Pro Tem Steve Manos who will be honoring Kakis for his charitable work in the community. Kakis helps produce the city’s Hot Sizzling Summer Nights car cruise in historic downtown Lake Elsinore along with Nichole Daily and Beau Davis, city employees and Drake Kelly, Lamb’s Fellowship board president.

“We are honored to have Councilman Manos again this year and we appreciated his hard work and dedication to improving our city,” Kakis said. “Proceeds from this year’s show goes to support local families and children as well as providing a safe environment or children and parents alike to enjoy the Lambs Fellowship Vacation Bible School programs, sponsoring those who need assistance. The car show donations go to sponsor 100 percent of those children programs, including children that want to attend our Lake Mead summer camp.”

It costs about $250 per student to attend the summer camp.

“I started the Boomer’s Car Club with community service in mind,” Steve Peach, chairman and founder of the Boomer’s Car Club of Temecula Valley, said. The car club sponsored the Fellowship’s Movie Night, April 20.

“We are inspired by those who step up and continue to help and support our church and community,” Kelly said. We anticipate many more events and opportunities in partnership with the City of Lake Elsinore.”

The Lamb’s Fellowship encouraged everyone to register early because they are expecting more cars, motorcycles, food trucks, music by High Country Sound and Jolly Jumpers for the children, the “Movie Stars Cars,” and Top Fuel Dragsters this year.

Car and motorcycle registrations are $35. Food vendors registrations are $75. Vendor spots and sponsorship opportunities are still available, Kakis said.
