Reality TV show personalities get assigned to their rally teams before the start of the race consisting of a variety of checkpoint challenges in Old Town Temecula during last year's Reality Rally.

Reality Rally organizers are preparing for their eighth annual three-day fundraising event, bringing fun for funds May 3 to May 5.

All proceeds from the event support Michelle's Place Breast Cancer Resource Center, established by the family of 26-year-old Michelle Watson after she died due to breast cancer. Michelle's Place provides a service to better the lives of others affected by breast cancer.

This year's event brings back fan-favorite evenings and activities such as the "Amazing Race-" inspired game, Red Carpet Celebrity Reception, Public versus Celebrity Lip Sync Showdown and Celebrity Chef Showcase.

The weekend fundraiser expects around 3,000 guests, according to coordinator Gillian Larson. In the last seven years, they have raised approximately $500,000.

Starting off the event is the Reality Rally Celebrity versus Public Lip Sync Showdown, 6-9:30 p.m., Thursday, May 3. Hosted at the Pechanga Resort and Casino, showdown tickets cost $12 presale and $15 at the door. The public is also invited to reserve a table for groups. Prices are the same for reservations, but it ensures the group can sit together. There will be food for purchase and cash bar, along with reality stars autographing programs. Ticketholders can watch and be a part of the showdown, visit for details on entering the showdown.

The following night at Wilson Creek Winery, 5-10 p.m., will be the Reality Rally Celebrity Reception Fundraiser. Guests can watch the Red Carpet Parade Stars, get on the red carpet for photos shortly after the Parade of the Stars, take photos at the Gunfighters Old Tyme Western photo booth and even enter the 101.3 KATY-FM The Mix "Dance Off." Guests will also have to opportunity to meet over 100 reality TV stars from over 40 TV shows, while tasting the small plate buffet of signature dishes from 12 local restaurants. The night will give guests another opportunity for reality star autographs. Great Oak High School's jazz band will perform, and guests will have the opportunity to win a luxury vacation in 'Fund-a-Need board.' Feeling Lucky Entertainment will give guests the chance to win cash through blackjacks and craps.

Concluding the three-day fundraiser is the Reality Rally "Amazing Race-" inspired game, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, May 5 ,. Teams check in from 7-8:45 a.m., and the game begins 9 a.m. Teams of three plus one reality TV star – or four friends and no star – will compete to complete challenge checkpoints that can be physical, mental and fun. Participants race through 12 challenge checkpoints all over Old Town Temecula in a three-hour race. Spectators who would like to watch the teams compete at the challenge checkpoints can do so for free. Teams are encouraged to fundraise on behalf of Michelle's Place and can receive various game day benefits from it such as a "U-turn" or "Skip it" card for the checkpoints. These advantages are cumulative.

Team meet and greet at City Hall will be held 12:30-1:30 p.m., and the trophy presentation for winning teams will begin 1:15 p.m. Reality star autograph programs will be sold at the meet and greet.

Concluding the event is the Reality Rally Celebrity Chefs Showcase, 6-9:30 p.m., May 5 at the Temeku Hills Country Club Ballroom. The fifth annual showcase includes chefs from Masterchef, Hell's Kitchen, Chopped, Cutthroat Kitchen, Beat Bobby Flay, Chef Wanted, Food Network Star, Supermarket Superstar and more. Guests will witness TV-style competitions with chef pairs teaming up and competing against each other. Yet again, everyone is welcome to buy a table that seats eight guests. Every table will also have a celebrity chef joining them when they are finished competing in their heat. The Celebrity Chef Recipe Book is available to purchase for the chef meet and greet following the showdown. Tickets are on sale online for $15 until April 24 at and for $20 at the door.

The Reality Rally team brings back an eighth year of family fun and entertainment for the weekend. Residents can come meet some of their favorite reality stars, while supporting Michelle's Place. Tickets to all events and registration to the race are online now.
