TEMECULA – Shadi Farsi, founder and president of Bright Mothers, has launched the nonprofit’s first scholarship for low-income, single mothers attending California State University San Marcos at the Temecula campus.

The Bright Mothers Scholarship is meant to support students who attend classes at the university’s Temecula campus pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Students can apply for fall 2018 Bright Mothers Scholarship now. The recipient will be chosen by the university.

The total value of the scholarship is $1,000. Scholarship recipients must be enrolled full-time, have financial need as defined by federal and state guidelines and 2.7 minimum GPA.

Farsi, a current student at the university, created this scholarship to help mothers like herself provide a secure financial future for themselves and their children through completing their college degree.
