Van-Olvin Odom

Van-Olvin Odom died in peace Thursday, April 26, 2018, at home at the age of 68. Loving and devoted husband of 46 years to Lois Louise Scribner-Odom, he was a loving father to four children, "Pop Pop" to 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Further survived by his mother Dolores Juanita Walker and brother Ben Franklin II, he was big brother to Edgar Thurston Odom, deceased.

He was a proud and decorated veteran of the Vietnam War, who served in the United States Navy. His expertise as an electrician bestowed him employment with the state of California as a CalTrans supervisor for 29 years.

Van Odom will be fondly remembered by his family and many friends as a loving father, artist, humorist, charmer, possessor of a lighting bright smile, a lover of music from all genres and most importantly, a man who lived to laugh.

Please send condolences to Inland Funeral Home at 120 N. Buena Vista Street, Hemet, CA 92543. Military Honors will start promptly at 5 p.m. Friday, May 11, with rosary to follow immediately afterward at the funeral home.
