Volunteers needed for 35th annual Temecula Valley Balloon & Wine Festival

TEMECULA, CA – Volunteers are needed for the Temecula Valley Balloon & Wine Festival June 1-3, at Lake Skinner.  Volunteers can work in a variety of areas including front gate, VIP, balloon chase crew, balloon tether, kids’ faire and marketing.  Marketing volunteers do work shorter shifts.

Volunteers work in 4-5 hour shifts and are provided one free parking pass (available ONLY at volunteer/ABC trainings), one festival t-shirt (unless volunteering for multiple days and supplies allow) and a volunteer pin. Water and snacks are also provided. You must be over the age of 14 to volunteer. Register online at

Concert headliners for the Festival include Sugar Ray, The Wallflowers, Lifehouse, Justin Moore, Spin Doctors, Fuel, Hoobastank, Tyler Farr, RaeLynn and Pablo Cruise. Volunteers can stay at the Festival after their shift to enjoy concerts and other activities.

The Temecula Valley Balloon and Wine Festival will feature 19 wineries and up to 40 hot air balloons including the DreamShip. The DreamShip is a hot air balloon that’s literally made from the dreams of the children of fallen and disabled military heroes. The fabric of the balloon features illustrations by these children, Folds of Honor Scholarship recipients, showcasing what they want to be when they grow up.

Held at Lake Skinner Recreation Area, at the edge of Temecula’s Wine Country, the Festival features dawn hot air balloon launches and flights, evening balloon glows, and food pairings, Admission is $25 to $45 for adults and $5 for juniors age 6-12.  Balloon events are weather permitting only.
