TEMECULA - A transient accused of harassing children outside a middle school in Temecula Friday was arrested in connection with a stalking investigation.

Police went to the area of Gardner Middle School and Kent Hindergardt Park at about 2:50 p.m. after getting a call of a man harassing children, said Sgt. Joseph Greco of the Temecula Police Department.

After searching the area, they found Adam Baumgartel, 26, a local transient, in the 32000 block of Camino San Jose near Redhawk Elementary School and identified him as a suspect wanted in a previous stalking investigation, Greco said.
