TWENTY18 Pet Walk in Lake Elsinore is a howling good time for pet owners

Storm mascot Thunder says "hello" to another dog before the TWENTY18 Pet Walk in Lake Elsinore Saturday, May 12.

Exercise enthusiasts and their four-legged companions took to the Diamond Stadium Levee in Lake Elsinore for a 1.5-mile walk last weekend.

The seventh annual TWENTY18 Pet Walk began at 9 a.m., Saturday, May 11, with Lake Elsinore Mayor Natasha Johnson leading a group of excited participants and their dogs out onto the levee.

The event, organized by the city and Animal Friends of the Valleys, used to be held downtown but has been in its current location for about three years, according to recreational specialist Sally Stuckey.
