Child rescued after going under in backyard pool

MENIFEE – A toddler rescued from a backyard pool in Menifee Friday, May 18 was apparently pulled from the water before he blacked out.

The near drowning was reported about 1:25 p.m. in the 25000 block of Wild View Road, near Saddlehorn Way, according to the Riverside County Fire

Department.

Paramedics reached the location moments after the child had been removed from the water, and he was conscious and stable, a spokeswoman said.

It was wasn't immediately known how long the victim was underwater.
