Small quake shakes Riverside County

AGUANGA – A small earthquake shook parts of Riverside County today, May 19. The U.S. Geological Survey recorded a magnitude 3.5 temblor at 12:26 p.m. with an epicenter near the Cahuilla Indian Reservation and about nine miles southwest of Anza.

The quake was felt in Riverside and Cathedral City, according to the USGS.

No damage was immediately reported.

Last month, two earthquakes that measured above magnitude 3.0 had epicenters in the same vicinity as the latest one, according to U.S. Geological Survey data.
