Temecula traffic is expected to be heavy for Mt. San Jacinto College graduation

Motorists planning on driving in south Temecula Friday evening, May 25, may want to plan their commute ahead of time, because a Mt. San Jacinto College graduation is expected to tie up traffic.

According to a news release from City Management Analyst Christine Damko, more than 5,000 people are expected to attend a graduation for Mt. San Jacinto students at Pechanga Resort & Casino.

The influx of visitors, paired with construction of the Temecula Parkway Interchange project, may lead to some congestion through the area.

City officials are encouraging people heading to the commencement...
