Maurice Car'rie Vineyard and Winery sees best win yet in California State Fair wine competition

Holding a bottle of Van Roekel brand sauvignon blanc that took an unheard of 99-point medal win at the recent California State Fair wine competition is the winery's General Manager Gary Van Roekel. Today, the award-winning wine sells for $22.95.

The wineries of Temecula Valley's Wine Country are becoming better recognized throughout the nation and the world. One of the leaders and pioneers of the growing Wine Country is Maurice Car'rie Vineyard and Winery at 34225 Rancho California Road in Temecula.

Every year since Maurice Car'rie began production in 1986, it has collected awards for its many varietals, from the red cabernet sauvignons to its chenin blancs.
