Local elementary school students receive national award for making significant literacy and math gains

Houghton Mifflin Harcourt awards Bryce Kingfisher of Monte Vista Elementary School the 2018 National 180 Student Award for his gains in math with the MATH 180 program.

MURRIETA – Two Murrieta fifth grade students, Bianca Grant of Cole Canyon Elementary School and Bryce Kingfisher of Monte Vista Elementary School, were awarded 2018 National 180 Student Awards, which recognize 15 children across the United States each year who overcome significant obstacles to become thriving, successful learners, June 5.
