Interstate 15/Railroad Canyon Road Interchange is fully funded; construction anticipated to start in 2020

LAKE ELSINORE – After regional planners conceived of the project 18 years ago, the overhaul of the Interstate 15 and Railroad Canyon Road Interchange Project is now fully funded and moving toward construction.

The Railroad Canyon Road and I-15 Interchange is a significant regional transportation corridor, serving the cities of Lake Elsinore, Menifee, Canyon Lake and the county of Riverside. So many projects in the pipeline are dependent on SB 1 money. What happens when SB 1 is overturned in November. Clearly this project with over 40% of its funding relying on SB 1 is doomed, as is Bundy Canyon Rd widening in wildomar.
