For owner, Murrieta bar is more than just a business; it's a life-saver

Frank Hallberg chats with guests at his bar, Franklin's Cove, in Murrieta. Despite a battle with stage-four colon cancer, Hallberg has not given up his dream of being a bar owner and credits the bar with saving his life.

Opened around three years ago, Franklin's Cove in Murrieta has made a name for itself for its excellent service, atmosphere and food, but those aren't the only things which draw in guests.

Many people visit because they are excited to talk to owner Frank Hallberg. Positive, welcoming, hard working and determined are a few of the words they use to describe him.

Hallberg said he feels the same way about his guests and about operating Franklin's Cove. The bar has been a constant in his life since he was diagnosed with stage-four colon cancer.
