Hemet's Valley Restart holds benefit car show and barbecue at Valley Baptist Church

The poster at the Valley Restart Car Show and Benefit Saturday, June 9, at the Hemet Valley Baptist Church shows how people can help VRS in their mission to provide temporary shelter to families in need and the community's homeless.

Valley Restart benefit and car show brought a dozen Corvettes, hot rods, a tricked-out motorcycle, barbecue lunch, vendors and raffles to the delight of those attending at the Hemet Valley Baptist Church Saturday, June 9.

The benefit and car show, which was held 4-6 p.m., will be help the Valley Restart's mission of providing essential services to low-income families, adults and children in the community. The Valley Restart program center, located at 200 E. Menlo Ave. in Hemet, is now the temporary home to nine families, five single women and one single man, a total of 41 people in all.
