Anza Lions Club prepares to heat up summer with annual 'Anza Days' festival June 30-July 1

GeriLyn Blanton Mellin and family's vintage fire engine won the "Judges Choice Award," in which bribing the judges is encouraged during last year's Anza Days.

There are only a few days left for campers and vendors coming to the 86th annual Anza Lions Club Anza Days Festival to reserve their spaces for the special events coming to the township the weekend of June 30 to July 1.

This years' event, with the theme "Paranormal," will run 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., June 30 in various locations throughout town.

This year's Anza Days kicks off Saturday, June 30, with the Thimble Club's annual Pancake Breakfast, 7-10 a.m. in the Community Hall on state Route 371 in town. Adults are $6, and children under 10 are $3. The menu includes all-you-can-eat pancakes, plus...
