Temecula museums have novel offerings for summer months

The Temecula Valley Museum will host several special exhibits this summer.

With hot summer days underway, Southwest Riverside County residents will be clamoring for cool indoor activities – movie theaters and malls will be packed.

But for those looking to learn or see something new, Temecula's museums will be hosting a number of unique exhibits and classes.

Find some magic at Pennypickle's Workshop

Youngsters can travel to the world of Harry Potter with two classes at children's museum Pennypickle's Workshop. The "Hogwarts Academy" will be in session 10 a.m. to noon, Monday, July 23.
