Musicians of Anza: Julie Gimbel jams on the violin

Julie Gimbel's musical skill with the violin is well-known in the Anza Valley and beyond.

Julie Gimbel is well-known as the wife of blues harmonica Cliff "Beef" Pollack, but people also know her as a fine musician in her own right. Not simply proficient on the violin but skilled beyond expectation, she is an integral part of the Anza music scene.

Gimbel grew up in the Chicago suburbs, before moving to Palm Springs, California. She studied piano beginning at age four and was reading music soon thereafter.
