Prepare with hiking tips from Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World

RANCHO CUCAMONGA – It might be very hot when hikers first start out on their 9 a.m. hike, but if they are doing any high altitude hiking, the temperature at 3 p.m. may be 50 degrees or cooler and those hiking shorts and tank tops suddenly aren't quite enough anymore.

Always bring a light jacket that weighs next to nothing and takes up minimum space. Always remember to wear a hat or a hood too.

Even if when hiking for just an hour or two, it's not possible to know what lies ahead. That's part of the fun of hiking. A storm may pop up, the trail may be lost or the hike may be longer than...
