Last updated 7/12/2018 at 6:17pm

San Diego Self Storage focuses community projects as well as serving their customers’ self-storage needs.

The storage business has 17 locations in Southern California. The Butterfield Ranch Self Storage, at 43920 Butterfield Stage Road serves Temecula, and another location is currently under construction with plans to open in Murrieta in October.

“We really pride ourselves on making a difference in all the local communities that we serve,” Marketing Manager Tyler Carr said. “We engage in a variety of projects throughout the year that benefit nonprofit organizations, and we encourage our employees to participate in the implementation of these heartfelt activities.”

The Butterfield Ranch Self Storage location recently sponsored the Murrieta Mesa Rams Baseball program in a team fundraiser. The facility manager at the Butterfield location, Cristhian Gironas, donated storage space and the use of their moving truck to help the students collect items for resale at the Saver Thrift Store in Murrieta. Gironas and Butterfield Ranch Self Storage helped support the Temecula Youth Baseball Champions League in 2016 as well.

The assistance allowed the Murrieta Mesa Rams Baseball program to raise $1379.28 in their fundraiser. The Butterfield Ranch staff participated in their local community, while also creating a charitable and giving work environment.

Carr said the goal of San Diego Self Storage’s community engagement is to “help and support however we can by improving the communities.”

The company also partakes in an annual San Diego Food Bank Drive and Toys for Tots campaign, in addition to each location putting time and money toward a local organization.

San Diego Self Storage corporate office in San Diego supports numerous San Diego nonprofit organizations and charities such as the San Diego Gulls Foundation, Connor’s Cause, Big Brothers, Big Sisters Program, Doors of Change and the San Diego Police Department’s K-9 Unit.
