SJHS graduate's artistic sketch hangs in America's Capitol

It was truly a moment in time for, a San Jacinto High School graduate Nadia Talamantez as she stood proudly in the America's Capitol for a special ceremony attended by Rep. Raul Ruiz, CA-36.

Her "Moment in Time" sketch, created in her hometown, now will be on display in the Capitol rotunda for the remainder of the year. The half-shaded sketch of man in different times caught the attention of Congressman Raul Ruiz who announced her as a winner of the year's Congressional Art Competition for his 36th Congressional District in Rancho Mirage, May 1.
