Veatch wins Factory Stocks main event at Perris

Temecula driver Cameron Veatch won both his Factory Stocks heat race and the Factory Stocks main event June 30 at Perris Auto Speedway.

"It's a great feeling to put in time and effort and get rewarded with a win," Veatch said.

Veatch won the April 14 main event, but engine failure precluded Veatch from finishing the May 12 race and a flat tire hindered his June 9 performance. "I had two bad luck streaks," he said.

The 45-year-old Veatch received his driver's license on his 16th birthday, and he his first car was a 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass he still has. He began his racing career on the Carls...
