Hawk foils cell tower repairs

The cell tower off State Route 371 and Wilson Valley Road is in need of repairs that cannot be completed until a hawk vacates her nest.

The Dulaney family has been without voice cell service since May 24. Their phones work perfectly, and their bills are paid right on time. Yet they remain in phone limbo at their home in upper Aguanga due to no fault of their own.

The issue lies in a nearby cell tower that is in dire need of repairs, but according to their carrier Sprint, the repairs cannot take place until Mother Nature gives the all-clear.

A nesting red-tailed hawk has caused all the ruckus. She selected the cell tower located just across State Route 371 and south of Wilson Valley Road as the perfect habitat to raise her...
