A fire broke out today in a Hemet mobile home park, damaging two units before crews contained the flames.

The non-injury blaze was reported at 12:45 p.m. in the Desert Palms Mobile Home Park at 1097 State St., just north of Brittania Road, according to the Hemet Fire Department.

A battalion chief at the scene said crews encountered flames raging on the exterior of a double-wide trailer, extending to a single-wide unit nearby.

The fire reportedly erupted when a boiler blew.

By 1 p.m., the blaze was largely contained but not yet under control, according to reports from the scene.

No evacuations were ordered.
