Projects, pies and a parade

High Country 4-H poses for a photo aboard their Anza Days Float.

High Country 4-H participated in Anza Days June 30. We had a float building day June 23 at the Thayer home. Club members made planets out of cardboard and a rocket out of PVC pipe and cardboard to go with the Anza Days theme, Paranormal. Each planet represented a 4-H project, such as pigs or gardening.

Then June 28, the club members met at the Anza community hall and made pies for a pie auction at Anza days. These would be for a fundraiser for our club and other clubs that have supported us. We baked peach, apple, strawberry, cherry and chocolate cream pies.
