After four recent deaths, and with temperatures rising, health officials again urge precautions for residents

RIVERSIDE - Forecasters are predicting sharp temperature increases again, and health officials are urging residents to protect themselves and others who are most susceptible to the heat.

Three people in Hemet and one in Bermuda Dunes have died since July 7. Dr. Cameron Kaiser, Riverside County public health officer, said it appears three were elderly and had underlying health issues that made them more susceptible to the heat, but that high temperatures played a role in all four deaths.
