HUSD Governing Board weighs submitting $150 million school improvement bond request on November ballot

The seven-member Hemet Unified School District’s Governing Board will decide Tuesday, July 31, if a $150 million district school bond issue will go on the November ballot.

The HUSD serves more than 21,000 students in Hemet and the unincorporated areas of Anza and Sage with 11 elementary schools, three elementary/middle schools, four middle schools, four comprehensive high schools and one continuation school. According to the governing board needs extensive repairs and upgrades, better safety, more classroom technology, vocational classes and fiscal accountability.
